The image to the left is an early screen grab of SPEARS who once again played ABBY, a receptionist in a dermatologists office.
Those who saw the last episode SPEARS was on will remember that she and NEIL PATRICK HARRIS’ character, BARNEY, hooked up at the end.
The episode to air Monday, May 12 @ 8:30PM ET/PT on CBS, shows the couple united by their common interest, their hatred of TED!
BRIT said of her appearance,

The film that looked so lame this is the first time I have bothered to write about it has been a runaway success (gasp).
The film, starring ROBERT DOWNEY JR., has taken a massive $104 million this weekend.
This is the second highest grossing non-sequal after Spiderman , which made $114.8 million on the same weekend in 2002. Ain’t that a b*tch! They weren’t f*cking around with their scheduling of this film. They were tryin’-a do it real big… but if you are going to try to outdo Spiderman on its own weekend you betta bring somthin’!
But I digress…
Iron Man also killed it in worldwide sales of $201 million, the highest of lead, DOWNEY JR’s., career.

As you’ll remember DOURDANwas found slumped/ unconscious in his car when he was arrested by the po-po. He is now using the familiar old chestnut of ”it wasn’t me”…

Researchers at the University of East Anglia in Norwich think that chocolate might prevent heart disease in women with diabetes. But to prove their point they need 150 WOMEN TO VOLUNTEER FOR THEIR STUDY AND EAT CHOCOLATE EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR A YEAR. Meanwhile, researchers at Yale are pretty sure that chocolate can prevent preeclampsia in pregnant women. Five or more servings of chocolate a day could be enough to reduce risk of developing the condition by at least 40%.

CSI stud GARY DOURDAN, who plays WARRICK BROWN on the CBS hit, was arrested yesterday on suspicion of drug possession [Website - TheLostGirl’s Blog].

According to Palm Springs police, the 41-year-old actor was found passed out behind the wheel of his car at around 5:00 AM and appeared disoriented and possibly under the influence of either alcohol or drugs when they woke him up.
After a search turned up the drugs, DOURDAN was booked into the Palm Springs jail where he posed for the below mug shot and was then released after posting $5000 bail.

The New York Times originally published a sensational front cover with the headline “A Topless Photo Threatens a Major Disney Franchise.” [Website - TheLostGirl’s Blog].
However, today, they were forced into back peddling and rewording their headline.
Various sources report, that by all accounts, Ms CYRUS was not actually topless on the shoot. She was for all intents and purposes wearing, a satin stole that was ’specially made’. The Times today changed the headlien and issued a correction with the title “Revealing Photo Threatens a Major Disney Franchise.”

A headline and an article on Monday about a Vanity Fair photograph showing the actress MILEY CYRUS in a suggestive pose LEFT THE INCORRECT IMPRESSION THAT SHE WAS BARE-BREASTED. While the pose was indeed revealing, she was wrapped in what appeared to be a bedsheet; she was NOT topless.

There are scandals galore in today’s news… think I’ll start off slow and work my way up.
The first news story I found today was that of a L.A. woman selling out celebrity patients at UCLA Medical centre [Website - TheLostGirl’s Blog].
This woman was paid at least a few grand and by at least one media outlet. If she is convicted, she could face 10 years in prison. The indictment against her does not say which celebs she sold out. You can read the lawsuit HERE.
According to a Federal indictment, LAWANDA JACKSON pocketed at least $4,600 that she got from a national media outlet for the info. The check was made payable to her hubby.

In LEIBOVITZ’s completely insincere apology, she insists that the shoot was ‘misinterpreted’.
“I’m sorry that my portrait of MILEY has been misinterpreted,” says LEIBOVITZ in a statement issued Monday. “MILEY and I looked at fashion photographs together and we discussed the picture in that context before we shot it. The photograph is a simple, classic portrait, shot with very little makeup, and I think it is very beautiful.”

I should point out, 15 year-old CYRUS remains (ahem) rather tastefully covered up with a sheet… but as a commenter on Just Jared put it:

UPDATE 1 - MILEY now says that she is embarrassed by the images she took. Looking back at them in retrospect, she told People she is regretful.
“I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,” says the 15-year-old Disney sensation, who posed with a blanket wrapped around her chest. “I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.”
UPDATE 2 - Disney, who apparently learnt about the shoot at the same time as you and I, unleashed one all-mighty arse woopin’ on Vanity Fair.
“Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines.”
UPDATE 3 - Annie Leibovitz has said ’sorry’ for the photos, in a half-arsed apology.
