N.E.R.D. ‘Everyone Nose’ LYRICS - Update
February 2, 2008 by iamthelostgirl
The post I did on the new N.E.R.D. Single, ‘Everyone Nose‘ has been blowing up on my page-views stats in the last two days. The song had been getting a lot of attention due to the crazy beat (and crazier lyrics).
New N.E.R.D. track which may or may not make the cut on their upcoming album N.3.R.D.(Spring 08′). This particular song N.E.R.D. collaborated with none other than Timberland. Now I pride myself being able to easily spot a Neptunes or Timbo beat when I hear one but the production on this song sounds nothing like a typical Neptunes or Timbo track. It has no traces of either producers signature sound. It seems to be this weird concoction is the bastard child of their two styles coming together. The cool thing about N.E.R.D. is that The Neptunes totally shift gears production wise. It’s like they go into a totally different space cause their N.E.R.D. “sound”, sounds NOTHING like the beats they produce for other rappers or R&B artists. I’m looking forward to the album. Head over to the BBC Blog (dope blog btw) for more updates.
Anyone who has heard the song will have been intrigued by the rather unusual lyrics. One of my commenter’s, Clemens, let me know that they lyrics are about girls lining up to take (ahem) illegal substances in the bathroom at a club (the hint is in the title Everyone NOSE - wink wink)… Now another fabulous commenter, CrazyN.E.R.DFan, actually posted the entire lyrics to the song, so thought I’d share/ repost the song itself. Enjoy!
Check out the new tune from Pharrell Williams and Co., ‘Everyone Nose’. The track is from N.E.R.D.’s upcoming album N.3.R.D. Apparently the clip below was ripped from the BBC (Billionaire Boys Club) blog. Not sure about the lyrics…”all the girl’s standing in the line for the bathroom (!?!?!)” but love the beat!

close your eyes, see colorful things you wanna
let go, feel wonderful things, just a bit more
just to get in tha lane
so we can answer the brain
you’re conflicted with pain

and how we’ve been so wrong
[AT YOUUUUUU)

(AT YOUUUUU)
Tell your friends
They can go
You're okay
You're just chillin with me

Wipe your face
Cool down
Have a drink it's on me

The actual lyrics are: Baby youre party on night in Sixth Gear
Just so you know the AC
Its blowin over here.
Sixth Gear means: a state of mind when there are no worries, no problems and no concerns. (you know the way you feel whe you are high)
Thanks Jan Cam
I’ve tried to make some changes - baring all of the above suggestions in mind.
TheLostGirl
Strange… I did a quick post about this track as well on my blog and my stats are lighting up too. Strange. Must be all of the great press they are getting out of SXSW. Did you see Pharrell. Looked like a damn rockstar up there!
Hi Robby Wells - Welcome and thank you for commenting.
Great to hear N.E.R.D. are doing good things on your site too! The song is gonna be huge if the responses I have gotten on my site are anything to go by
TheLostGirl

eric - thank you for leaving a comment, but please do PAY ATTENTION. As I say in the copy above…
Lastly,
Thanks, change made.
TheLostGirl
From one NERD fan to another…congrats on your article, however, with all NERD songs…listen to the piano’s rhythm…that’s a Neptune classic off beat yet in sync tune. Neptunes and Tim have always made a good team, even when they were together in that organization together back in the 90’s.
Also, instead of at you…I believe its “Achooo”. I figure that because of the way Neptune do, subliminally inputting more of the story into the song in place of words. The women in the video are doing drugs, snorting and such…sneezing is involved.
Also, with the lyrics…listen to the song with ear phones on for like 20 times with out bias and you’ll hear all the rest of the real lyrics, like “The AC is blowing over here”. What do you think? I could be wrong.
Keep up the good work.
NoOne ever Really Dies
jwillisjr - Many thanks for the kudos
HI LOST GIRL,
HI ALL,
THANKS U ALL 4 THE HIGHLIGHTS…
BUT WHAT IS THE 6TH GEAR??
WHAT IS THAT?
CAN U ALL EXPLAIN THIS?
THANKS
6THLY CONFUSED,
VIONON.
(N3RD BASS IS THE BEST)
VIONON - Welcome and thank you for leaving a comment
6th Gear refers to the gears on a car and speed… also, see comment 7
TheLostGirl
“The AC is blowing over here”.
Wrong.
It goes…
“Just so you know the yay see, it’s blowing over here”
As in yayo; get it folks?
Peep the live vid, he says it very clearly; on the actual video, it’s edited out.

M*E*R*V- ta
I have to disagree with the “yayo” comment. Maybe that commenter could elaborate, they could be right. Though the whole point of the song in that part that he is trying to get her to “Cool down!” So maybe the edited version says AC, but come on, these guys are telling a story, I’ll watch the video again bc I know nothing about Yayo at all. i know a friend who says that is their favorite rapper.
EDited, yeah…let’s not talk about edited lyrics, its not relevant to what the artist wants to say.
When I opened the Album and saw the corel painter art, it was so funny. Riding a bike in space and the voltron like power ranger refs, the albulm art is pure NERD to the MAX. Those guys have so much fun.
Does anyone think that it’s Photoshop or Corel?
it is the AC is blowing over here (Trying to cool her down). I don’t know anything about Yayo, so I could be wrong. but I saw that video, its all edited…doesn’t say much.
M*E*R*V please show us more proof.
Thanks
Just adding in the extra line that’s on the album version:
Yeah, You know it’s been a minute since um, we expressed ourselves. It takes a lot of courage to say this but um,
I see sounds.
Cheers for the rest of the lyrics though
Guys, c’mon; either you get it or you don’t.
He says ‘yay’ and ‘blow’ in the same sentence. Like you said, if you don’t know nothing about yayo… then good; try not to!
What does the ‘achoo’ mean??
btw I like the song.
jwillisjr - We’ll see what others say about the Yayo thing, no one else seems to agree so I may chage it to AC.
Berdsownd - Welcome and thank you for leaving a comment. You’re welcome. Thanks for the extra lyrics, but does anyone know where those lyrics would sit? At the start/ finish?
M*E*R*V - Many thanks for all the input, but please reman civil and polite with the other commenters.
Sexy-girll - Welcome and thank you for commenting also. ‘Achoo’ is a reference to snorting cocaine, and sneezing.
TheLostGirl
What I was trying to say was, if you don’t know anything about yayo, then good; stay away from it!
Sometimes typing doesn’t convey emotional content correctly, you feel me? Likewise, another person might have been put off by your comment of telling me how to behave, but it’s all good!
Anyways, lyrics can be interpreted many different ways; take them however which way suits you; that’s why I said either you get it or you don’t.
Overall, just say NO! (Drugs are bad, kids!)
M*E*R*V -
As above, thank you again for the input and feedback on the lyrics.
Fair point and I take all such comments on board, but actually that was precisely what I meant. The other commenter’s were inquisitive and asking questions and in response there was a definite tone you used that was a real turn off. I was politely reminding you that it was not necessary to be defensive as you were not being attacked in this environment.
I have no desire to police threads, as it is largely unnecessary and time consuming. I am happy to let conversations meander and let people talk amongst themselves. The ONLY time I comment on behaviour specifically is when, like in this instance the person is somewhat rude or conducting themselves in a manner that may make others feel uncomfortable.
TheLostGirl
Lg,
I was wondering, do you have pages set up to discuss the elements of…I guess English when it comes to N.E.R.D. songs, like the similes, metaphors, narratives, perspectives and so on? They are an introspective group that their songs tells stories. Like “Love Bomb”, “Window”, “Bobby James”, “Locked Away”, just to name a few.
N.E.R.D. has their own language and I think if we discussed and informed listener’s about this, they would get the lyrics a lot better as a result. i have been listening to Neptune’s beats since I was very young, and N.E.R.D. songs since In Search of…at the latest.
Just a thought, since your page is generation such an audience lol.
jwillisjr - Thanks for the comment and for all of the contributions you have made to this page, you have added a lot to the discussion and generated very interesting conversation.
There is no page other than this one to generate discussion about N.E.R.D and their lyrics. I am hoping the conversation continues to flow as it has done and that many other interesting people such as yourself add their thoughts and knowledge. If there is a demand and enough people request it, in the very near future such a page or post may be set up.
TheLostGirl
So i understand the lyrics now, and the story. BUTTT what does ‘the ac’ mean. What would AC stand for.
what does the ac mean.
all the girls standing in the line for the bathroom to go inside and make a line and sniff that shit up
freaky styley - thanks for the comments. AC means ‘Air Conditioning‘ - it cools you down.
OMG YOU GUYS.
lets clear this up for everyone under the age of 12 and doesnt know what yayo is.
YAYO IS COKEE (COCAINE). its an illegal DRUG.
dear lord, ya’ll are wayyy to shealtered. mabye you should be on disney.com
OMG YOU GUYS ARE INSANE.
YAYO- look it up on google. or i will just tell you– its an illeagal DRUG—coke, cocaine, yayo!
DUHHHH.
listen to “ayo for yayo” by some guy with a funky name.
seriously, ya’ll are shealtered.
maybe you should be on disney.com
ryeryex3 - Thanks for leaving a comment, the above has been amended to say ‘yay see’ again.
ohh okay and thankss. sorry i posted twice, i didnt think my first post went through

jwillisjr - Many thanks for the kudos
whats kudos?
i should probably know,,,, but i dont
SURROUNDED BY IDIOTS…that’s the name of the band that Timb and P where in way back before the Neptunes became big names in the industry.
LG and FS- no problem, we are all hear to help one another understand the song, the artists and such.
ryeryex3- Thanks for schooling us all who did not Google what Yayo meant. If you want to make comments to insult ppl and call them sheltered, be my guest, I hope it makes you feel like a bigger person. There is no need to put other people down for not knowing something, look inwards to yourself and try to improve on your social skills with people and the words that you give birth to out of your mouth and on the keyboard.
Besides P says that he never did drugs, so the fact that he would even mention anyone of them doing drugs in a video is pure fiction and part of the story that they are illustrating.
Sorry, still now that we know what Yay means. Its still is in context to the story of the song, but that is not what he is saying. Listening to it trying to force myself to here yay see is not what he is saying in my opinion. First people thought that he said “Chase see” because the achoo got in the way and made it sound like chase, and that P points in the vid so they think he is saying “see”. When someone says yay, you would be able to hear the Y in the beginning. AC is what he is really saying, its part of him describing the cooling down part along with her getting a drink. We can not see the “Yay see” blowing in the air in the room she is in, nor the air…but we can see her hair blowing bc of the AC.
freaky styley - Thanks. Kudos is a ‘nice comment’.
jwillisjr - You are my new hero. Thanks for keeping it real! And you are right about Pharrelll and his non-use of drugs. The yayo thing is kind of odd in the context of the sentence. Will now leave it as AC as I agree with the above. P.S. Many many thanks for stumbling this page, very kind of you to take the time to do that… and by the way, your Stumble comment is very true!
Congratulations ryeryex3, you are awarded 2 medals in the special school that you attend. Im glad someone has the balls to call out all the non MTV walking wiki’s that aren’t down with the times. I mean, yes “Yayo” means coke, coca, whatever, you are obviously more aware of sell terms than all of us *claps.* Thanks MTV! But in the context that you have so blatantly pointed out (that is correct…OBVIOUSLY), seems a tad far fetched. “Yay See?” “Yay -SEE-.” Pharrell is a smart guy, but one thing I think he prides himself in is making no sense while making sense. If he were to use Yay or Yayo I would think that it would have been placed somewhere to either give dimension to a metaphor in context to the whole song or to specific lines. Instead of you know, sounding like Souljah Boy so one of the thousands of “make a dance and get big” acts. AC seems way to hilarious and thought out not to be the line. Re assuring fact to the girl that this is where the party is at, the source of the blow is over here (the AC). In conjunction with the whole down beat, seems he is just tryin to calm them down or cool them off *hint hint*, before they go back into the line for the bathroom. This reminds me of the Lupe‘s “Streets on Fire” debacle haha. Good job Lost Girl! Props to JWillisjr for trying to give thought to the thoughtless.
LG- No problem.
Steeze- That is exactly what I’m talking about. Knowing about drugs is one things, but if you know more about the language, lifestyle and style of composer from the artist, you figure out what is really being said. Instead of some typical fantasy.
Steeze - Thanks also for speaking from the heart, the kudos, adding to the thread and letting certain people know when they are being kind of out of line. I am finding this an interesting thread to read and I welcome commenters such as yourself who take the time to make interesting and relevant observations that drive the narrative forward.
As per comment 28, does anyone know where these lyrics would fit?
they fit in the beginning. ON the album, he says this first right before the upbeat begins. he says that then it breaks into the song.
oops, meant to just say that it goes at the top of all the lyrics. so it goes right before the part, you and your girls go out to night. I can send you the album song
P says it
jwillisjr - Thanks for the info and the correction. If it is quite easy to email, I would v. much appreciate you sending it to [General4TLG@gmail.com]
Thank you for emailing me that track j - very kind and now I can hear what you were describing. The lyrics are now in the right place and I am chuffed with the MP3
To Lost Girl,
Werd. Glad someone is at least pushing for this type of conversation and not just taking it at face value. Definitely will be taking a look at your blog more often now.
To J. Willis jr,
(laughs at the Painter comment) Being a painter myself and painting the profile pic of Chad from the CD Jacket, i do say its Painter. Even though it could prob be recreated in Photoshop with some custom brushes. But glad to hear there is another artist wandering in these parts.
*vibes off to Sooner or Later*
Steeze - Welcome back, thanks for letting me know. Bookmark me, RSS me (or my comments) or get email updates or sommat to keep up to date with what’s going on. As new songs are released I may add more lyrics to carry on the conversation.
