The scanned copy of the letter Lane Garrison wrote to Access Hollywood can be found below, along with a scan of the envelope it was sent in. Click on the image to view in a new window (and click once more to enlarge the image)/ alternatively you can view the slightly clearer of the letter PDF HERE.
“Greetings and Happy New Year to you and everyone at Access Hollywood from Donovan State Prison,” Garrison wrote. “Never did I think I would be saying the words ‘happy & prison’ in the same sentence and not be on a set. It’s pure irony coming from the show and now living the real deal. It’s surreal and mind-blowing to say the least.”
“Just this past Monday they let a group of inmates watch the season premiere of Prison Break,” he wrote. “It felt like an out of body experience as I stood around a crowd of tattooed felons watching Michael Scofield try to escape … all of us longing to be free as well!”
“This has been the hardest year of my life,” he wrote. “I hope people, young and old, are learning from my mistakes and what can happen when you drink and drive. I have much to say about the pain I’ve felt and seen inside of prison. It has been eye-opening and a harrowing experience.”
I get that former ‘Prison Break’ star, Lane, is in jail, and so has copious amounts of time on his hands… but still, should he not have better things to do than to write to TV shows? By what measure or stretch of the imagination, does writing to Access Hollywood show that he is sorry for committing vehicular manslaughter and killing a 17 year old.
For those who do not know what the hell I am talking about, Lane was a well know supporting character in the TV show ‘Prison Break’. Towards the end of the last series he was written out due to his court case for vehicular manslaughter. He was found guilty and sentenced to 40 months in jail. He will be out this time next year with good behaviour. You can read more about him at Wikipedia, HERE.
Anyone who wants to write to Garrison, do so at the address below. Me-thinks he has time to read your letters even if they are mega long.

How can you be so cruel that you write down Lane Garrison has a girly handwriting??? After you know how many things he survived, you colud be more polite AND as you know he was punished enough in prison and when he get out, I don’ think he won’t forget that a young boy died becouse of him, so you don’t have to bully him even more, OK? And I think I’ll write him a letter, even if I’m not his *greatest fan*.
P.S.:Sorry for bad english, I’m not american, I’m not even British, =) I’M SLOVENIAN.

Haaah – I understand you just fine. While you do have some valid points Lane is a killer, accidental or otherwise.
Please bear in mind that everything written on this blog is opinion, which I am entitled to. If you don’t agree, you are free to go elsewhere.

I’m an American male. No problem with my English.
I agree — that is girly handwritten, if ever I saw it. But my buds and I thought Lane was a little girly himself the first two seasons of Prison Break.
In any event, he got off easy. 3 years for a human life? A press release came out recently that Lane was transferred to a maximum state prison. Allegedly, the move was made so he can get a college education. Sounds fishy to me.
I hope he’s given the “don’t drop the soap” treatment that he got on the TV show from Avocado. Cruel? I suppose, but there’s a kid who’s dead and a a former TV star who has a chance at a college degree and parole in six months. Where’s the f-ing punishment, dude??

Hi, just wondering have you heard that he was transferred to a new Max Prison and do you know his new mailing address? Or alternatively, so you know where his new mailing address can be located?
Thanks
