The Knowles publicity machine hit a road block today, in a PR blunder of EPIC (comic) proportions.

VIDEO SET UP:
Knowles was doing an interview on a Las Vegas show called “More”. She was promoting her album Sol-Angel & the Hadley St. Dreams.
The beef started with an off-air interview brief (oooh, that rhymes). The interviewer had (rightly) double-checked whether Knowles was comfortable talking about Beyonce or Jay-Z. Knowles said ‘No’ she wasn’t, off-air and then the show started broadcasting.
The (very courteous) show host introduced Knowles and invited her to start talking about her album… and then Knowles hit the roof. She flew into a rage, slagging off the interviewer and calling her questions ‘unproffessional’.
“I have to say, that was not a very professional introduction before. Please don’t tie me into family and my brother-in-law’s establishment.”
Someone off camera had to step in and say (audibly) that the pre-interview was not shown.
“That wasn’t live, Solange. That wasn’t on [live] TV.”

Hi Dave,
I agree. I was a big fan of hers. But her reaction was tacky on air or off! She should have been more classy and handled it anoter way or just held it in. She lost a lot of fans yesterday coming off as such a spoiled brat.
P.S. Dave, not sure how long you have been a reader/ lurker or what-have-you, but I just wanted to suggest you have a random nose around my archive. There are some funny and interesting old posts. If you dig a little, I think you may be pleasantly surprised at what you find!

That girl is soooo country/ghetto. You would think that somebody would try to train her in “the ways of the media”. I guess you can’t teach class to certain people…look at her sister, she STILL can’t talk..you can tell that it’s still difficult for Beyonce to keep “da hood” out of her pronunciation..Like the old saying goes: “you can take the girl out of the country BUT”"…you know the rest, ha!

Yes, I have to say, Beyonce and Solange have difficulty with speech. They are not refined speakers. I have to say that it must be really hard for them during interviews they seem like they have to search for all the words.
Speech lessons would help.

Poor Solange . . . I understand her anger/frustration, I would be mad at the world too if I looked like that! lol
