Her latest attempt at courting the headlines is a promo feature for ‘Get Stupid’.
The video has caused controversy *yawn* after comparing John McCain with Adolf Hitler.
The song itself sends off a message telling everyone to wake up and that the future of the world is in our hands.

It is interesting – when did education and religion blur so badly that people have gone mad, and when did celebrity and politics become one? To paraphrase Bruce Springsteen, when he first got married and there were paparazzi in the backyard and helicopters over the yard –
“I do not understand nor comprehend the world in which I live in.”
That was around 1984 – all rabid Springsteen heads, feel free to give me a good thrashing for having the date wrong – but this is what we have become – a pop culture that cannot seem to tell the difference between entertainment and serious events of substance.
Then you question, what does change a life? If this video is considered controversial, then everything is controversial. Or nothing is.
The lines have become too blurred.

I have to agree with you there. Her 25 years of shameless self promoting were brilliant for her career, but I wish she would stay out of politics – she’s not helping.
