Scarlett Johansson and her beau Ryan Reynolds may wed this winter [Website - TheLostGirl’s Blog].

The couple, engaged since May, plan to tie the knot this winter, after Scarlett’s 24th birthday, a source tells Star.

Before some 200 guests, including celebrity friends such as Natalie Portman, Woody Allen and Sandra Bullock, Scarlett and the 31-year-old Canadian will wed in a traditional Jewish ceremony in New York City. Helping the couple pull it all together is Scarlett’s mom/manager, Melanie Sloan.

Why wait? After all, Ryan has been eager to marry Scarlett for some time. According to the source, “they’re taking it slow because her twin brother, Hunter, is busy working on Barack Obama’s campaign. Scarlett, who also supports the presidential hopeful, wants to hold off until the election is over because Hunter is so busy.”

Isaac Hayes Died Today At 65 R.I.P.

August 20, 1942 - August 10, 2008

More sad news today. Isaac Hayes has passed away, aged 65. This news comes only 24 hours after the passing of comedian Bernie Mac [Website - TheLostGirl's Blog].

The singer/ songwriter died early Sunday morning at his home in Memphis, Tennessee. His wife had found him on the floor near a treadmill inside his home. He was was taken to Baptist East Hospital in Memphis. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at 2:08 a.m.

The cause of death is unknown, but official reports say there is no foul play suspected.

Hayes was best known as a legendary musician, whose music made a real stamp on the 70’s scene.

In recent years Hayes gained popularity for his voice overwork in popular culture cartoon South Park, where he played character, Chef, starting in 1997. He left the show in 2006 as it conflicted with this Scientology beliefs (they made an episode which mocked the religion).

Morgan Freeman Seriously Injured In Crash

Actor, Morgan Freeman was seriously injured in a car crash last night [Website - TheLostGirl's Blog].

Multiple sources are reporting that the actor crashed his 1997 Nissan Maxima on Highway 32 in Mississippi, around 11:30 PM.

TMZ and the Memphis CBS affiliate station both are reporting that Freeman might have dozed off at the wheel. Post accident, a conscious Freeman was able to talk to state troopers. He was later airlifted to a hospital one hundred miles away.

He is said to be in a serious conditon.

Morgan Freeman just had the darkest night of his life. The Oscar-winning Batman sidekick is listed in serious condition in a Memphis hospital following a Sunday night car accident, says hospital spokeswoman Kathy Stringer.

Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman Ben Williams told Memphis’ NBC affiliate that Freeman and an unidentified female passenger were heading east on Mississippi Highway 32 when his vehicle went off the road. Freeman then overcorrected the vehicle, causing his 1997 Nissan Maxima to flip several times before coming to a rest.

Mediatakeout.com was first to report the smashup, which occurred around 11:30 p.m. just outside the town of Ruleville, Miss. Freeman was airlifted to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, but apparently was coherent enough to talk to state troopers at the scene.

There was no immediate comment from the actor’s representatives, though CBS’ Memphis affiliate, WREG, reported that Freeman may have fallen asleep at the wheel. Emergency crews responding to the scene reportedly used the jaws of life to free both Freeman and his female passenger from the vehicle. Both were airlifted to the hospital, nicknamed The Med, though there’s no word on the condition of the female passenger.

UPDATE:

“The doors were jammed on the vehicle from the rolling and flipping,” Mississippi Highway patrol sergeant Ben Williams said.”We had to break the doors open with the jaws of life to extract him.”

According to Freeman’s publicist, Morgan has suffered a broken shoulder and arm.

Kate & Lance Have Split

Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong have allegedly called off their three-month romance… [Website - TheLostGirl’s Blog].

The pair, only a short time ago, spent time on holiday and bonded with each other’s children. However, it seems it may have just been a whirlwind.

“There was no drama or ugliness – They just decided to end things,” a source close to the couple tells Us Weekly. “There is no hatred, just sadness.”

What Is Up With The Gross ‘Girls Licking Blood’ Advertising?

The images below are only a sample of the latest gross trend… posters promoting movies etc. that show a close up of a girls face, licking blood [Website - TheLostGirl’s Blog].

The worst of the lot is the promotional poster for the 2009 flick ‘Red Sonja’, starring Rose McGowan.

Other (almost as gross) examples include the posters for ‘Jennifer’s Body’, starring Megan Fox and the HBO TV show, ‘True Blood’.

PNasty places the blame for the trend solely at the feet of the delectable Angelina Jolie (see the old image of Angelina, bottom right) and I concur.

Matt Damon & Wife Expecting Another Daughter

Matt Damon and wife Luciana Barroso’s second bundle of joy will be a baby girl [Website - TheLostGirl’s Blog].

Sources are reporting today that the heavily pregnant Mrs. Damon is ‘due soon’ and expecting another daughter with her movie star husband.

The pair have not yet decided on a name:

“We decided to wait till she’s born,” Damon said. “We’re going to get a look at her and we’ll probably keep debating it!”

This will be the pair second daughter together. They already have Isabella, 2 and Luciana also has a daughter from a previous relationship Alexia, 9.

Matt & wife, Luciana are expecting another daughter 'soon'.
